Shaolin Academy Temple Kung Fu Series

The 1st 5 Levels of Shaolin Academy Training are dedicated to the 5 Temples that had a Major influence on Shaolin Kung Fu. Although on the Shaolin and Fukien Temples were Shaolin Temples proper, all of these had a significant influence on the Shaolin Styles. Traditional Chinese Weaponry Stream

A Parallel but dependant on the Temple Levels stream, is the Shaolin Academy Traditional Chinese Weaponry Curriculum. There are three levels of Workbooks (at this time). The Foundation level which has the 4 traditional 1st Weapons of; Shaolin Iron Staff (the Father of all weapons), Tiger Broadsword (The Martial of all weapons), The Wudang Sword (the Lord of all weapons) and the Red Eagle Spear (The King of all weapons). After this, the tier two levels weapons include a wide variety of Traditional Chinese Weapons. The third level is dedicated to Special, very unusual and difficult weaponry; and for these reasons these workbook will only be available directly from the Academy!Reveal Workbooks

Traditional Chinese Kung Fu Streams

It was a habit of Shaolin to invite scholars to teach and learn at the Shaolin Temples as well as Shaolin visiting other temples and schools; this allowed Shaolin to incorporate the best into the system and at the same time to share and test their own style and knowledge. This was not limited to just kung fu but included History, Healing, Poetry, Calligraphy {Writing and Mathematics} and Poletics/Strategy). Through this influence and 1000 year development Shaolin 5 Animal Kung Fu became the Best and most effective. But to truly understand the 5 Animal truly it is necessary to understand the history, source and development of the style which will have had an influence of the Shaolin Kung Fu development. Just because you know your martial art style, it doesn't mean you know how to teach it. And to truly know your style you need to be able to teach it.

It is sometimes said that if you can't do it, you teach it. Well that may be the cynical view but the reality is different. You don't know your martial art until you have had to teach it to someone else! It is therefore important that you also learn how to teach what you have learned. And this requires quite a number of skills both for your benefit and the benefit of the person(s) you are teaching.

Following is quite a number of Workbooks that are dedicated to Teaching, Helping, Self-understanding. These together with the MAIA Gov Accredited Instructor Course and L2 First Aid are requirements to be able to teach at the Academy! Reveal Workbooks

Communicating effectively is an art; the ability to say more with less!	Learning to use your brain more effectively and finding out what is effective can be fun.	Finding a Balance between Work, Sleep and Life is not easy; this book suggests some specific areas to look and and how	We hold ourselves to a Higher Standard of care for our Students, Style and Self!	There is always someone inhibiting the progress, learn to identify, understand and make a decision for action, or not.
Understanding yourself and understanding you students helps to understand the 5 Animal Style, and a lot more.	What is the difference between a Manager and a Director and what are the different skills?	Class Plans or life plans, same principles with varying degree of detail and difficulty. Do you know the 4 D's of Planning?	Communication has many aspects; as an instructor you need to be able to Stand in Front of a Crows and Present!	How dose a team work, what does it need and how do you fit in?
Why is what important when to us.... and to others. This is the basics of Human Understanding Humans (the HUH? principle)	Teaching is not just passing on information, it is checking that this information is being received, understood and applied correctly.	Difficult people, difficult us and difficult situation; which witch is the glitch?	You cant really be a master of a style if you do not understand it's history, path, creation and influences! The 1st Form, the Blue Form is the form that ALL our students need to read, understand and sign.

Australian Martial Art Championship Information and Codes

Sooner or later most people want to "try it out". In terms of martial arts, this could be nasty. We recommend to "try it out" in a control, specially dedicated and safe environment; like a competition.
